Well, we weren't left on the shelf for long. Within a week of leaving the home of our last session the lovely Chimney House contacted us through this site. We've been playing there every Sunday evening since and we love it. They're looking after us very well - thanks Tom and the gang. x

With wistful hearts we packed up our instruments at the West Hill for the last time this Sunday. It had been our other home for over two years but now folk gives way to roasts as their new chef starts next week. Watch this space though as the embers of Front Room Sundays will be rekindled into smokin' folk at a new venue near you soon.

Just finished three great evenings in a row at The Cyclist (@CyclistBrighton) in the station for their Oktoberfest celebrations. A set of new (for us) Germanic tunes, from Edelweiss to Kraftwerk's The Model, featuring two FRF instrument firsts: Ad on glockenspiel and Ruth on trombone! Weissbier and Bratwurst all round. Prost!

Last time it was to keep the rain off. This time it kept the sun off. The Dip bus shelter Hollingdean's renowned acoustic properties were given another work out for a mini Ceilidh/folk set on the longest day. We're off for a Lucky Dip and beach BBQ after a not so hard day's playing. Thank you Hollingdean!

Great bank holiday session at the West Hill this Sunday with a score or more players. Hard to pick a highlight - the wall of sound from six fiddles on our Welsh favourite Yr Heliwr or the discovery that hobnobs dunked in whisky make an illicit treat?

Thanks to all at The Patch for a lovely Sunday afternoon. The weather was 'changeable' but fortunately so was our set. We dropped ideas of a ceilidh on the soggy grounds of health and safety gone sensible. But that didn't stop everyone.
